miigo's memory

Miigo is beginning to develop a memory - slowly, intentionally, and in a way that’s meant to feel human and supportive rather than technical or intrusive. This early version is simple, but it’s the foundation for how Miigo will eventually understand you in a deeper, more personal way.

how miigo’s memory works (in human terms)

Miigo’s memory is built on a few early building blocks that mirror how people tend to remember things:

Semantic memory - “the facts you tell me.”

These are small pieces of information you choose to share: names of people in your life, preferences, goals, routines, or things that matter to you. Miigo keeps these so conversations feel more grounded and connected over time.

Episodic memory - “the moments you describe.”

These are light notes about experiences you talk about - a tough week, a big win, something you’re looking forward to. It’s still early, but this helps Miigo get better at understanding the context of your life, not just isolated facts.

Procedural memory - “the patterns you repeat.”

This is Miigo learning gently from the themes you come back to: habits you’re trying to build, areas you want support in, things you care about. Right now, this is very simple, but it’s the beginning of personalized guidance that adapts to you over time. These aren’t fully developed yet - they’re the first draft of what will eventually become a truly personal experience.

what memory can do today

Right now, in this early Beta phase, Miigo can:

- Remember a few important facts you explicitly share
- Recall recent topics and pick them up again later
- Offer more relevant responses when you revisit themes
- Hold simple notes about moments you talk about
- Keep track of the basic goals or preferences you mention

It’s all lightweight by design - no deep analysis, no long history, no assumptions about who you are.

what memory cannot do yet

Just as important, here’s what Miigo’s memory doesn’t do (yet):

- It doesn’t track long-term emotional patterns
- It doesn’t map timelines or relationship structures
- It can’t recall the detailed history from months ago
- It won’t remember everything unless you restate it
- It doesn’t build a full “inner map” of your lifeIt doesn’t understand deep habits or behavior patterns

We’re working toward this - but slowly and carefully.

privacy first - always

Memory only works if you trust it. So even in Beta, the rules are simple:

- Your data stays local on your device
- Nothing you share is sold, tracked, or used for training
- Only what you explicitly share gets saved
- You can delete memory at any time

Miigo remembers things for you, not about you.

where we’re heading

This early memory is just the groundwork for a much richer experience:

- Deeper understanding of your preferences and routines
- Meaningful recall of the moments that shape your life
- Gentle awareness of patterns to support habits and goals
- A private, evolving inner map of people and themes that matter
- Personalization that connects across conversations, journals, moods, and tests

That’s the long-term vision - and memory will grow into it piece by piece.
